This is Shreya Broadcasting Group's strategy to broaden its presence in the regional news space. Earlier this year, the company had launched a devotional channel. The group already has a strong presence in Telugu Market.

The group already has a strong presence in Telugu Market.
The launch of the channel will take place in the presence of Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah, Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, Former Cheif minister B S Yeddyurappa and Union minister Ananth Kumar.
The channel will compete with existing 13 news channels in Karnataka and another two news channels viz Focus TV, and TV1 are on the way in the already crowded market.
According to BARC ratings, TV 9 tops the TRP charts followed by Public TV and Suvarna News.
